Acceptance
Forklift Safety Data is operated by Forklift Safety Data, 99 Wall Street, Suite 1441, New York, NY 10005, United States. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. If you are using it for an employer, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on that employer's behalf.
Use of the site
You may read, print and share these pages for your own or your organisation's safety work. You may not attempt to breach or probe the security of the site, submit false or misleading enquiries, use the forms to send unsolicited commercial messages, or scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others. Automated bulk retrieval of the published figures is not permitted without written permission, though you are welcome to cite and link to any page.
The published data
Every figure on this site is derived from a public-record snapshot that we retain, and each page names its source and the date that source was retrieved. We publish the derivation method openly on the methodology page.
Injury figures are drawn from OSHA's Severe Injury Reports, which cover establishments under federal OSHA jurisdiction only. States operating their own OSHA-approved State Plans do not report into this dataset and are not shown. Severe injury reports are a reporting-based measure, not a census of all forklift accidents. Hospitalization figures count employer-filed reports of in-patient hospitalization under OSHA's 24-hour reporting requirement; a zero means no report was filed, not that no injury occurred.
Figures marked as estimates or projections are labelled as such and are not guarantees.
We take reasonable care to derive the figures correctly, but we do not warrant that the site is free from error, that a source has not since been revised, or that a figure remains current at the moment you read it. Verify anything you intend to rely on against the cited source, which we link on every page for exactly that reason. If you find an error, tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.
Not professional advice
This site provides general safety information, not legal or professional advice. Consult a qualified safety professional or attorney for guidance on your specific obligations.
Nothing here is a compliance assessment, a risk assessment, an inspection, an engineering opinion or a substitute for any of them. Regulations change, enforcement practice varies, and your site has conditions we know nothing about. Decisions about equipment, procedures and compliance remain yours and your advisers'.
Suppliers and quotes
When you request a quote and give consent, we pass your requirement to safety-system suppliers whose products fit it. We are not a reseller, we do not sell equipment, and we take no fee for placement in any comparison on this site.
Any contract you go on to make is between you and that supplier. We are not a party to it. We do not endorse, warrant or guarantee any supplier, product, price, delivery time or installation, and we are not responsible for what a supplier does with your enquiry, tells you, sells you, or fails to deliver. Cost bands shown on this site are published planning ranges, not quotations, and the price you are given may differ.
The Forklift Safety Risk Scorer
The Forklift Safety Risk Scorer produces an indicative score from the handful of answers you give it. It is a prioritisation aid, not a risk assessment, not an audit, and not evidence of compliance with any standard. It runs entirely in your browser and submits nothing unless you separately choose to send us your details.
Content and reuse
The text, layout, comparisons and derived figures on this site belong to Forklift Safety Data, except for the underlying public-record data, which belongs to the bodies that publish it, and third-party names and marks, which belong to their owners. Supplier and product names are used for identification and comparison only and do not imply any affiliation or endorsement in either direction.
You may quote short passages and individual figures with attribution and a link to the page they came from. Republishing whole pages, or the dataset as a whole, needs written permission.
Liability
The site is provided as it stands and as it is available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forklift Safety Data excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contract, loss of data, or any loss arising from reliance on a figure, comparison, guide or score published here, or from any dealing with a supplier introduced through this site.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York, United States, and the courts of New York, United States have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the effective date above tells you when it last changed. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Questions about these terms go to [email protected]. See also the privacy policy and the editorial policy.
