Who are the leading forklift safety technology companies in the US?

US buyers usually compare four kinds of forklift safety technology company: camera AI specialists that detect people without tags, proximity warning suppliers using ultra-wideband (UWB), RFID or magnetic fields, telematics providers that add operator access control and impact sensing, and forklift manufacturers with factory options. Some suppliers combine several of these. Shortlist on fit with your hazards and fleet: detection method, automatic slowdown on compatible forklifts, retrofit support for mixed brands, US installation and service coverage, reporting, and references at comparable sites. OSHA does not certify or approve any supplier.

Named US suppliers are compared in Forklift safety system vendors compared and listed in the vendor directory; Choosing a forklift safety system provider explains the evaluation method.

The need is real: the National Safety Council counts 84 work-related deaths involving forklifts in 2024. Technology reduces that risk only alongside the duties OSHA 1910.178 already sets for training, inspection and safe operation. A pilot on your own floor, with success measures agreed in advance, tests a supplier better than any ranking.
